Boat projects are never finished, they merely don't need attention for a while. Everything, from complex electronic instruments to simple foot-operated water pumps, has problems from time to time. Cruisers need to have a considerable stock of spares and redundancies, plus at least some technical skill. Fortunately, my dad knows a lot about boats, and he is teaching me.
